Passive Voice

1. Simple Present Tense
  • Active : She cleans this classroom everymorning
  • Passive : This classroom is cleaned by her everymorning
  • Active : Disa cuts that paper with a pair of scissors
  • Passive : That paper is cut by disa with a pair of scissors
2. Present Continuous Tense
  • Active : Hamid is reading a novel now
  • Passive : a novel is being read by Hamid now  
  • Active : Intan is doing her homework now
  • Passive : Her homework is being done by Intan now
 3. Present Prefect Tense
  • Active : Widek has finished her homework
  • Passive : Her homework has been finished by Widek
  • Active : My father has washed the car
  • Passive : The car has been washed by my father
4. Present Perfect Continuous 
  • Active : Rama has been painting this room for two hours
  • Passive : This room has been being painted by Rama for two hours
  • Active : We have been playing football
  • Passive : Football has been being played by us
5. Simple Past Tense
  • Active : They killed the snakes in the forest yesterday
  • Passive : The snakes were killed by them in the forest yesterday
  • Active : My uncle built this house last year
  • Passive : This house was built by my uncle last year
6. Past Continuous Tense 
  • Active : When the light went out, the waiter was serving Putra
  • Passive : When the light went out, Putra was being served by the waiter
  • Active : They were not eating dinner
  • Passive : Dinner was not being eaten by her
7. Past Perfect Tense 
  • Active : I had worn blue shoes
  • Passive : Blue shoes had been worn by me
  • Active : We had lost the key
  • Passive : The key had been lost by us
8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense 
  • Active : They had been building the wooden bridge by this time last month
  • Passive : The wooden bridge had been being built by them by this time last month
  • Active : She had been finishing her homework, when her sister heard the radio
  • Passive : Her homework had been being finished by her, when her sister heard the radio
9. Present Future Tense
  • Active : Mr. Soeharto will open the tournament in Jakarta tomorrow 
  • Passive : The tournament will be opened by Mr. Soeharto in Jakarta tomorrow 
  • Active: I will make glass from sand
  • Passive : Glass from sand will be made by me
10. Future Continuous Tense
  • Active : She will be buying the ticket by 9 o'clock tomorrow
  • Passive : The ticket will be being bought by her by 9 o'clock tomorrow
  • Active : My mother will be teaching mathematics at 5 o'clock next week
  • Passive : Mathematics will be being taught by my mother at  o'clock next week
11. Future Perfect Tense 
  • Active : the teacher will has taught this lesson by this time tomorrow 
  • Passive : This lesson will have been taught by the teacher by this tomorrow 
  • Active : My sister will has read novel by the end of this week 
  • Passive : Novel will has been read by my sister by the end of this week
12. Future Perfect Continuous Tense
  • Active : He will has been repairing the standing fan by this time tomorrow 
  • Passive : The standing fan will has been being repaired by this time tomorrow
  • Active : She will has been learning music
  • Passive : Music will has been being by her
